Navadurga (“nine Durgas”) is a devotional grouping of nine forms of the Goddess especially associated with the nine nights of Navaratri in many communities. A widely used sequence is Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidatri. The sequence supports day-by-day remembrance of different aspects of the Goddess, from perseverance and nurturing to courage and transformative power.
Not every region uses exactly the same festival emphasis, calendar convention or local goddess identities. This list describes a prominent devotional arrangement, not a universal substitute for all Navaratri forms such as Durga, Lakshmi and Sarasvati in some regional celebrations. Dates and puja instructions must be sourced to the relevant calendar profile and approved practice records; this FAQ intentionally does not provide them.
